Off to Southampton and Zeebrugger 16th May

We always get to Southampton as early as possible and ignore our boarding time: this time we have been given an early time so we are actually doing what we have been told: a first!

With five ships in Southampton was going to be very Busy!

Arcadia on Mayflower, Eclipse on City. Britannia on Ocean and Silver Whisper on QE 2. Mein Schiff 1 is only on a visit not a turn round so has to make do with a berth and not a terminal!

Got to Southampton Station on time at 11 08 and got a taxi immediately and were in the embarcation lounge by 11 30. Boarding started at 11 40 and we were on by 12 15. Straight to lunch where we had the normal first lunch of roast beef. Our cabin was ready by 1 30 and our cases were already there: world record! Time for a quick swim before exploring and life boat drill at 4pm.

Being at the end and first to leave we pass all the ships on our way off to Zeebrugge.
