Wake up to find weather still amazing. Walk down to the COOP in Grindelwald to buy our lunch, back by bus. When in the town we see where we walked yesterday!
Back to the Station for our first rack railway train to Interlaken
After a change in Interlaken we pick up a double deck intercity train in Spiez which travels in the new Lotschsberg tunnel to Visp
where we board the rack railway up to Zermatt with great views all the way. we were pleased to be on an old train with opening windows!

Quick trip to our hotel to check in and drop our cases before we go off to the funicular, cable car and gondola up to Rothorn. Slight problem as although we asked for tickets to the top we were sold tickets to the top of the funicular only! First howler of the day! Great views of the mountains which were mostly out of the clouds apart from the Matterhorn!

Back to the hotel before exploring the Zermatt, buying chocolates and having dinner and still energy for an after dinner walk.
