Rhodes

Our one and only previous visit to Rhodes was ten years ago on our second cruise - we have now done sixteen. Arrival at 8 am and the sun was well up for decent views of the old walled town and harbour areas. There are three cruise berths, Jewel of the Seas got in first and Braemar followed us.

 So off to have a healthy breakfast all fruit and a bit of yogurt but followed by a sausage and croissant!

We like ports like Rhodes where we just walk off the ship and are in the middle of the town. First we explored the old walled town. As we were early, as usual the streets were pretty empty!

We then made our way up to the Palace of the Grand Master with its moat!

Then through the modern town to the harbour area

So then a walk back to the ship along the harbour side promenade

So after all that exertion time to relax by the pool - empty as everyone is now off the ship in the crowded old town!
